Pressure Washing Services, for home and business.
You may be wondering if you need to look for separate power washing companies before or in addition to hiring a painter company. The good news is we do offer power washing! And, while the homeowner based 110 volt electric power washers are ok for the smallest of jobs around the home, we use gas-powered machines for the pressure cleaning which allows us to achieve a solid working pressure of 2500-3000psi. It allows for covering larger areas faster, and with more cleaning power.
For your powerwashing and/or exterior painting needs, you can visit our home page to get a glimpse of all building painting services. Or, give us a call or fill out the quote form, and we’ll arrange a time to meet with you to discuss your vision for your property. We’ll then afterward provide a written proposal on how we will bring your vision to reality.
Where and When To Make Use Of Pressure Washing Services?
The reasons that this service comes up is typically because people want to improve the appearance of outside building materials, or they want exterior painting or staining and the pressure cleaning is our typical preparation process.
One benefit is for improvement in appearance which can be quite dramatic! Check out the drastic changes in our pictures. Chatham has plenty of surrounding farmland and factories that contribute to dust and smoke, that over numerous years DOES pile up dirt on our homes and businesses.
Consider also the scenerio with shaded or semi-shaded areas. Overly shady trees near the house, prevent damp building materials from drying. It’s not overly surprising when you then have green moss buildup forming on parts of your deck, walkways, or even house siding where the materials don’t get much sunlight or the chance to dry out after receiving rain. After powerwashing, consider removing or trimming back / cutting the trees or vegetation nearby if you want to reduce the return of mossy or mold buildup.
It goes to show that if we want to paint the outside of our home or building, that we really should consider a good pressure cleaning every time. For any of these surfaces, no problem. A good powerwash, a good primer for the bare areas and a top quality paint, and your place will again look like a million bucks!
It is good preparation to make sure surfaces to be painted are free from dust, dirt, grease, and are generally clean. Usually, most exterior painting and staining projects we will powerwash. Surfaces that we can see to be dirty, or we presume to be dirty, we wash. Sometimes, all we need is some spot washing with a cleaning solution and a stiff bristled brush, and other times especially large dirty areas, we need the powerwasher. Paint doesn’t stick well to dirt, moss, or other contaminants, so we wash areas as required, using soapy water, TSP and bleach. After the surfaces are dry within 24 hours, we can proceed with painting and staining.
